
We are five people in Cheltenham who specialise in ASO, which is App Store Optimisation. Think of it as SEO but for the App Store and Google Play instead of Google Search.
The agency started in 2021. Before that, two of us worked at a mobile games company where we saw firsthand how much difference proper ASO makes. A well-optimised listing can double or triple organic downloads without spending a penny more on ads. But most app developers treat their store listing as an afterthought, if they think about it at all.
Three years in, we have optimised over 30 apps across health, finance, travel, gaming, education, and SaaS. Some are indie apps with tiny budgets, some are backed by serious venture capital. The approach is the same: research the keywords, optimise the metadata, test the creatives, manage the reviews, and keep iterating.
Cheltenham might seem like an odd place for a tech agency, but it works for us. The cost of living is manageable, we are close enough to London and Bristol for meetings, and honestly, the Cotswolds are a much nicer backdrop for work than an open-plan office in Shoreditch.
We test everything. Keywords, screenshots, icons. The data tells us what works, not gut feeling.
